Killer Heels – Friday Fictioneers

Thank you to Rochelle Wisoff-Fields who hosts Friday Fictioneers.  Each week Rochelle chooses a photo prompt to inspire writers to produce a 100 word piece of flash fiction.  Do use the link to her blog if you are interested in joining the group.  It’s a great way to get involved in writing.

Killer heels

Closing the door quietly, she left his flat for the last time.

It started so well.  They had a lot in common and enjoyed each other’s company.  Gradually, everything crumbled.

They were talking things over when he lost control and took a swipe at her.  She turned, grabbed one of her shoes and swung her arm wildly.

The heel of the shoe hit his head.  He dropped to the floor.

When the shock subsided, she realised it could have been her body lying there.

She smiled grimly.  Not quite the ‘Cinderella’ story but the shoe had certainly changed her life!
